This entry lists the best and worst for the past 30 days of the 2017 regular season, through games of Sunday, August 27. Here is an explanation of this weekly feature.

Comment of the week: That the Orioles would have the second-best record in the American League over the past 30 days is somewhat surprising, though not as much as Tim Beckham (career .238/.288/.431 hitter going into the season) having the league’s second-best batting average, ninth-best on base percentage, seventh-best slugging percentage,  and sixth-best OPS over the same period.
